Or play INFINITY and all the other Will Echo songs on your chosen musical platform, and Spotify is great for all the wonderful music it gives access to, but did you know…. (Spoiler alert - there is a rant coming!)…..that Spotify changed its payment terms so that a song now has to be played over a 1000 times in one year to qualify for any payment at all!
This new Spotify payment method really sucks for independent musicians like me who get lots of low number streams across a big catalogue, but rarely reach 1000 plays on any one song.
So, let's do something about it…let's get the streams up to a 1000, or choose another provider and help independent musicians. If people who care about independent music stream it from another source, or stream more ‘off radar’ music, then perhaps Spotify will change their policy and protect the future of real music at grassroots.
